100 things…

1. I was born on November 1st.

2. That makes my birthstone yellow topaz.

3. Which I am not fond of.

4. I prefer diamonds and sapphires.

5. I’m adopted.

6. I don’t think people should feel wierd when I tell them I’m adopted. But they do sometimes.

7. I don’t know my birth parents, but God does, and thats ok!

8. I have a cool brother who is adopted too.

9. We look like night and day.

10. I, of course, would be the sunshine in that description.

11. I used to be a contender, errr I mean athlete in high school.

12. I am starting to compete against myself again with running.

13. It’s fun.

14. I ran my first marathon in San Francisco in October 2006.

15. San Francisco has MANY MANY steep hills.

16. I walked funny for about a week after that.

17. Arts and crafts was my favorite part of summer camp.

18. Wish there was a job for arts and crafts.

19. Maybe there is.

20. I love coffee.

21. I was super excited to decorate my whole kitchen in coffee house stuff.

22. I’d like to do the whole house like that too.

23. Our bedroom has a nautical theme.

24. So maybe our house is a coffee house on a boat. Or something.

25. I love to cook.
26. I hate to clean.

27. I am super organized with a day planner.

28. I plan things out really far in advance.

29. I write things on a list AFTER I do them so I can have that satisfaction of crossing something off.

30. BUT my house is not as organized as I’d like.

31. I’d love to get closet maid closets.

32. I love coffee flavored ice cream.

33. And coffee flavored candy.

34. I like tea too.

35. I would like to work as a barista one day at a coffee shop to see what its like.

36. Plus it would be really cool to shout out drink names like “tall-non-fat-soy-half-caf-sugar-free-carmel-latte” or “venti-triple-mo-fat-machiatto”.

37. I subscribe to Cooking Light.

38. I want to start a “supper club” but none of my friends are interested.

39. I also subscribe to FITNESS.

40. They write about these “fail proof” plans… but I haven’t seen results that they claim.

41. I base my workouts on sweat, not the calorie counter.

42. I love to run. And run hard.

43. I am trying to get to the gym before work this year instead of after. problem is, I get sleepy earlier at night when I do this.

44. I met my husband, K, when I was 19.

45. I think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

46. He is the most adorable man in the world!!!!

47. God blessed me immensly with my K! He is such an wonderful encourager and loves me so dearly.

48. I love my church.

49. We host a bible study of young couples.

50. These folks have grown so dear to my heart!

51. We have a furbaby.

52. Her name is Mercy.

53. She is a yorkshire terrier.

54. Or Yorkshire terrorist whichever way you prefer.

55. I like to knit her stuff.

56. I learned to knit in college, just garter stitch. I got bored and put the needles away.

57. A former colleague reintroduced me to knitting in fall 2005.

58. I’ve been addicted ever since.

59. I don’t know how some people can knit as much as they show on their blogs and have time to grocery shop too.

60. Yet another reason why I would like to work part time!

61. I don’t really know how to sew.

62. But it’s on my list of resolutions and I should have a FO by end of January.

63. I want to make curtains for our bedroom.

64. We have 1 tv. Only 1. Sold the other 2 at a garage sale because they were sitting in the basement unused.

65. We don’t really watch tv. Just the news. No major shows.

66. We live a half mile away from a “historic village”.

67. none of the shops seem to last long there. :(

68. I like to go geocaching with my hubby.

69. Mercy does too.

70. Our “date night” last winter was taking Mercy to agility class every Friday.

71. And Taco Bell.

72. I love old movies.

73. I love gardening, but have no soil as we live in a condo.

74. I like to dress up.

75. But I love comfy sweats.

76. Under Armour is the greatest running clothing gear ever.

77. So are Manzella gloves.

78. I am super allergic to nuts.

79. I love to have parties.

80. I love to do suzy homemaker things.

81. I have yet to successfully bake a loaf of whole wheat bread. My attempts churn out a brick.

82. I am saved by the blood of the lamb.

83. I lived 18 years wondering if God cared about me.

84. And he opened my eyes and changed my life.

85. My worth isn’t in my title, my bank account, or the size clothes I wear.

86. Although sometimes I admit I get caught up with that!

87. I secretly covet a corner office with a view… but I don’t want the 70 hour workweek that comes with it.

88. I would love to travel in time to a different century.

89. I love the snow.

90. I like to snowboard.

91. A good cry is good.

92. Stranded at home in a snowstorm is kind of fun.

93. I would like to visit New England.

94. And the Adirondacks.

95. Flannel sheets are amazing. Not so amazing for one’s punctuality.

96. Karen Kingsbury is my favorite fiction author as of late.

97. I don’t read as much as I used to.

98. Rest is good. The world moves too fast.

99. I used to think I was going to be a country music star. Then I turned 8 and realized I can’t sing.

100. There’s more about me that you’ll just have to read my blog to learn about.

    If you are in Williamsville- is the cider mill still there? We used to love taking our jug there and getting it filled while we saw the cider being made! Also, taking Luc to Glen Falls Park when he was a little baby. There were some nice little restaurants around there too….

    Oh, Karen Kingsbury is so good. Have you read anything by Francine Rivers? Redeeming Love is a great book! The best book I have read in a few years, by far.
