Mercy goes to California

We went to California for Easter and visited my husband’s family for a week- and we brought our little Yorkshire Terrier. One of the most enjoyable things we did with Mercy was go to the beach! The photos above are taken at the Dog Beach at Ocean Beach in Southern California. There is this great section just for off leash dogs to play and socialize in the sun, sand and surf. Little Mercy did very well! We were a little nervous about her being “free range” since her whole life back east has been on a string. Back here, she is the most UNTRUSTWORTHY dog off leash- all she needs is a leaf or squirrel to run by and she is gone in a flash, chasing her prey over the river and into the woods.

But she was a good girl! We has so much fun there with her that we went back again!

We also went to Knitting in La Jolla, where I snagged some Lorna’s Laces Shepard Sock… and I have yet to master the cast on! It looks bumpy…. but it is Project Spectrum Pink-ish so I think I will stick it out!
