Cool weather knits

One of the things I appreciate about being a knitter is that when the weather gets cool, I’m not as bummed out about the departure of summer because I have something to look forward to- wearing my creations!!! The temperature dipped this past week, and thus the opportunity presented itself to bring out the Cabled Coat for Sweet Pea.

At nine months, it fits perfectly and looks like it will last through the winter.

It was a tad big for her back in May (above).

My hourglass sweater has not seen a public outing but if this cool weather continues, I may be wearing her soon!

What are you looking forward to wearing this fall?

  1. Sweet Pea is a doll! So cute and the sweater looks like it will last her a long time too!

Hopefully we will see a modeled shot of you in the hourglass sweater. You’ve been working on that one for a long time.

  2. It’s adorable, as is the model! I’m actually hoping to get a summer dress finished in time – we are heading into the warm weather here.

  3. That is so precious, Dana. Oh, my gosh, look how big Sweet Pea is getting!

  4. That’s such a cute sweater on her! I have been wearing some fall things, given that it’s been a rainy and rather cool (60’s) August….

  5. Sweet Pea always smiles so sweetly for her photos. She sure is cute.

  6. She is such a cutie!!!!
